ICT-Asia Selection Committee has selected the project titled 'Development of a visual aid to assist low vision people in mobility for improving their autonomy' for the years 2015-2016. We work on this project with Professor Dr. Alain TREMEAU, University Jean Monnet, France.

As leader of colour research in Thailand, Colour Science Research Unit organized on Friday, March 21st 2014, activities to celebrate the International Colour Day. AIC (International Colour Association, Internationale Vereinigung für die Farbe, Association Internationale de la Couleur) established 21 March to be the International Colour Day. The Logo was adopted, after an international competition, to celebrate the AIC International Colour Day every year. See details here
Our Faculty of Science received from Prof. Dr. Alain Trémeaut (advisor of Colour Science Research Unit) the proposal of becoming Associate Partner in CIMET. On 19 February 2014, our Faculty of Science represented by the Faculty Dean, Professor Dr. Supot Hannongbua, signed the letter of support for the project: Erasmus+Joint Master Degree (JMD), Colour Imaging & Media Technology, CIMET.
Based on the best received CV, the internship position listed in "Opportunities" was given to Pooshpanjan Roy Biswas, Engineering Undergraduate (B.E.Hons), Jadavpur University, Kolkata. The position is now closed.

Thai implementation of the Colour Naming Experiment succeeded and is available at: www.colournaming.com/th. Colour Science Research Unit in collaboration with Mahidol University will provide now subjects for gathering responses in the Thai language in order to compare colour naming practices with people in other cultures.

Thaicolour.com, the website of the Colour Science Research Unit was finalised and was uploaded on a Linux Server for beta-testing.
The decision was taken to create a professional website in raw code, for promoting the achievments of the Colour Science Research Unit, which is the only Colour Science Research facility in Thailand by means of nomenclature, activity and internationally recognized research results.
The agreement to change the name of the Research Unit from Colour Management to Colour Science was presented at the department meeting 6/2556

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pichayada Katemake is appointed Head of the Colour Management Research Unit at the department meeting 5/2556. The first decisions taken as Head of the Colour Management Reseach Unit are:
1. joining the activity and space of the "Colour Research and Multimedia Laboratory" with the "Colour Management Research Unit";
2. bringing under the umbrella of the Colour Science Research Unit her own projects, submitted for funding since April 2013;
3. starting the procedures for changing the name of the Research Unit from Colour Management to Colour Science.
